Nelson
Hauora Health Centre appointments for International Students with Studentsafe Insurance will not generally not require payment. Before your first visit, you must complete a registration form and present your current student card, passport and a copy of your student visa. If you are asked for proof of Studentsafe cover, please show them your NMIT offer document and payment receipt.
Note that healthcare costs may be payable for any preexisting conditions not covered by your insurer.

If you need urgent medical care or are unwell after business hours, you can visit the Urgent & After Hours Medical Care service. You will need to pay the visit cost and keep a receipt to lodge a claim with your insurer.

Marlborough
Civic Family Health Care services include urgent virtual care: 7 days a week + evenings. All NMIT International Students are pre-enrolled as casual patients. Please mention this when booking appointments and take your ID card when visiting.

Paying for services & insurance
Except for visits to Hauora Health and their arrangement with Collingwood St Pharmacy for prescription costs, you must pay for your consultations and prescriptions. Keep the payment receipts for making a claim with Studentsafe or your other insurer.
Note: You may be charged a fee if you don't attend your appointment. Please remember to advise the service in advance if you are not intending to attend.
