What is a Training Scheme? - HOW DO I / Applying / How to apply / Short courses - NMIT Support

What is a Training Scheme?

“A training scheme is defined in section 159 of the Education Act 1989 as study and training that leads to an award but does not, of itself, lead to a qualification listed on the New Zealand Qualifications Framework (NZQF).” - NZQA.govt.nz

NMIT offer a range of qualifications, including Certificates, Diplomas, Graduate Diplomas, Bachelor Degrees, Postgraduate Diplomas and a Masters.

We also offer Training Schemes, which are made up of NZQA approved courses, but do not lead to a NZQA qualification. Instead, upon completing the required courses for a Training Scheme, you receive a Training Scheme award.
