Yes, NMIT students traveling from Motueka, Mapua, or Wakefield are able to use the Nelson Coachlines commercial school bus runs, Mondays to Fridays during the secondary school term.

Students need to be waiting at the pick-up locations 5 mins before the scheduled pick-up times.

Fares

A Transportme smartcard is required for payment, these can be purchased from either of the Nelson Colleges or over the phone from Nelson Coachlines by credit card. Call Nelson Coachlines on 03 548 3290, and they will take your payment and post one to you for a one-off fee of $10.

Nelson Campus stop

The Mot 3 drop-off/pick-up area for Nelson Campus students is outside T Block, opposite Nelson Central School.

Drop-off time is approximately 8:40 am and pick-up is at approximately 3:10 pm.

Richmond Campus stop

The Mot 3 morning drop-off area for Richmond Campus students is at the A & P grounds gates that are closest to NMIT. The afternoon pick-up area is across the road for the return journey to Motueka.

Drop-off time is approximately 7.55 am and pick-up at approximately 3.50 pm.
